1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

At Healthwatch Essex we gather the lived experiences of people and feed them back to where decisions are made about how health and social care services are designed and delivered helping people to have influence and their voices heard.  We provide information and support to navigate the services that are available and how to make representation when things don't work out.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

As with all small charity organisations there are issues around capacity and sustainability for ongoing engagement.
