1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Delivering quality relationship centred care within the Home

Working with the Leigh community to bring awareness

Delivering Dementia Friends Sessions to the community and businesses

Working with ENRICH to help create better practices for people living with Dementia

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Marketing reach for Dementia Friends sessions is limited

High quality, ongoing training for Team Members within  the Home

2. Actions

  • Transform the lives of people living with dementia, and support their carers.

    Deliver a minimum of 2 Dementia Friends sessions per week.  All new starters within Admiral Court take a Dementia Friends session as part of Induction.
