1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To help raise awareness and understanding of dementia within the firm to support clients and members of staff

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We will review the effectiveness of our actions by continually reviewing them internally and also inviting feedback from clients.

As a firm we continue to ensure that our offices are welcoming for those who have dementia. Our reception areas have appropriate seating and access to toilet facilities.

We hold Dementia Friends sessions for all staff who are new to the firm. This takes place on an ad hoc basis (depending upon recruitment).

We also have been involved in providing free information sessions to the general public about Wills, LPAs and Care planning with a view to helping those with a dementia diagnosis.
