Seasons Coffee Shop

It's important that Seasons Coffee shop provide a dementia friendly customer service and environment to encourage people living with dementia to visit our premises and feel comfortable here. This will hopefully improve their confidence and well-being and help to reduce the stigma which still exists around the condition.

1. Action Plan

One of the biggest challenges we face is the lack of understanding amongst our staff and current customers about the challenges experienced by people living with dementia (and their carers) and what we can do to make life better for everyone.

2. Actions

  • Improve our staff awareness of dementia

We are encouraging all our customer facing staff to complete the on-line Dementia Friends registration and / or attend local Dementia Friends / Customer Awareness sessions and provide access to the booklet ‘How to help people with dementia – A guide for customer-facing staff’

  • Make our environment more dementia friendly where possible

We are reviewing our coffee shop environment using checklist provided and make any immediate changes we can now, noting those we can make at the next refurbishment
