1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

we run a number of activity groups people can attend. We can offer facilities/groups to meet, pastoral visiting, home communion and prayer.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

awareness and understanding, people knowing about us and the range of activities and services we offer.

2. Actions

  • improve our understanding of dementia

    ministry team, churchwardens and pastoral carers to attend dementia awareness training.

  • Dementia Champions

    Recruit and train a dementia champion in each church.
