1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Health education - England have a mandate to increase the number of University student nurses who will receive dementia training.

We would like to give our college's health care students the advantage when applying for University of already having this awareness.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our students are primarily aged 16 - 18 and so dementia will seem far removed to them until they start higher education and NHS training.
