1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Through staff training and awareness we can understand our customers needs better . Understanding that our customers may need more time and one to one service.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Getting all staff trained and made aware as many are only part-time and we are only a small store.

  • Raise Awareness of dementia amongst staff.

    All staff to attend Dementia Friends Session.

    we already attend care homes in the Ilkley/ Bradford area and we will have a better awareness of some of the homes needs going forward

  • Fashion show at the Clarke foley to help raise more awareness and funds for the charity.

    we already hold annual fashion shows with the Clarke foley centre, this could be a platform to launch our dementia friendly store.
