Tivoli Theatre

The Tivoli Theatre is a 483 seat Art Deco Theatre built in 1936 showing top Comedy, Music and Theatrical Productions as well as the latest films. We are a Registered Charity and rely on our wonderful volunteer staff to enable the Theatre to continue to thrive.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Dementia can effect any one of us and is a devastating illness. Anything we can do to help a person living with dementia or their family/friends is worth pursuing. We will listen to the problems encountered by those affected and try to put any remedial suggestions into action.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

How would you want to review the effectiveness of these actions?

We hope that regular positive feedback from people living with dementia and their family/carers will enable us to measure the effectiveness of our actions.

2. Actions

  • To become a Dementia Friendly business where people with dementia are welcomed.

    Train our staff to be aware of the problems people with dementia encounter, to show understanding and to assist them and offer support wherever possible.

  • Promote awareness of our dementia friendly venue

    Aim to work with local communities to ensure people with dementia are aware they can approach our staff and expect assistance, such as help to find their way around the Theatre or a reminder about their booking.
