Keep Mobile

KEEP MOBILE has been in operation since the beginning of 1992 and registered as a charity through the Industrial & Provident Society in February 1993. We are run by a Management Committee made up of wheelchair users, other disabled people, carers and those with many years experience in providing accessible transport. All of our committee are unpaid volunteers. Our mission is to help those in the Wokingham Borough and Bracknell Forest Borough areas unable to use ordinary transport (due to their disability and/or age) to reach their destination, wherever that may be, and have as much of an independent life as is possible with regard to transport .

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To ensure that Keep Mobile is doing the right thing for people affected by dementia with regards to their transport needs.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Action plans will be continuously reviewed alongside Keep Mobile training programme in a 2 monthly meeting.
