1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We can offer a place where people with symptoms of Dementia can come and feel comfortable and relaxed while receiving a great service.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

There could be a lack of communication or the person may feel uneasy or intimidated being here. If that is the case we will do our best to communicate with carers and by putting them at ease as best we can.

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friends

Ensure all of our hairdressers attend a Dementia Friends session in order to heighten our awareness and understanding of dementia so that we are able to offer a higher standard of customer care to clients with dementia.
