1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We will treat customers affected by dementia equally whilst being equipped with the knowledge of how to assist them with any additional needs they may have.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

A customer may be upset and confused especially if this is a new environment to them.

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friends

    Ensure that many of our employees attend a Dementia Friends session either face to face or online. This will help to increase their knowledge and understanding of dementia so that they feel better equipped to deal with any customers displaying the signs and symptoms of the disease
