1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
At HugoFox we host local community and business websites, and we hope that by working closely with Dementia Friendly Hampshire we will be able to empower people living with Dementia to be an active part of their local community.
In order to do this we are looking into developing the HugoFox platform to become more accessible to those living with Dementia and other cognitive disabilities. In addition the team have all become Dementia Friends, with one member of the team becoming a Dementia Champion. To support our communities getting online we run training events across the UK and we will start including Dementia Friends training as an option within these days.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
The challenge to delivering these outcomes will be getting in touch with the required specialists to better understand how we can develop HugoFox. We aim to meet with Dementia Friendly Hampshire in the next few months to connect with the necessary people.
