1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To fully understand challenges faced by those with dementia and be able to respond to their needs by providing a welcoming environment and staff who are able to assist

  • Dementia Awareness raising for staff

     Ensure all staff are given the opportunity to attend a dementia awareness raising session

     Review premises to look at ways the environment could be more dementia friendly and make changes where appropriate/possible

  • Embed the concept of ‘Dementia Friendly’ within the business

     Review business operations manuals and guidance to ensure dementia
