1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Ainger Holbrows have years of experience of providing car repair services to the community of Hadleigh Suffolk and the surrounding areas. Our expert team offer a personal approach and are well respected in our community and have built strong relationships with all of our customers and their families. If our staff have a greater understanding of dementia we are able to help support them live well.  Ensuring our clients have a sense of belonging and of being a valued part of family, community and civic life  help them to live well with dementia.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Having been based in the community for 25 years Ainger Holbrows has a proven track record of caring about our community.  Encouraging all of team to have a greater understanding of dementia and how it may affect families will help us to provide an even better service to the community.  Demonstrating the benefits in the first instance may be seen as a challenge.
