1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We will continue to support those impacted by dementia and due to local needs, have committed to extend our services by extensively developing our dementia home, Ellwood Place.
During 2016-17, our dementia home will have an additional 10 rooms available, 4 of which will be dedicated to respite care.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
As we are not a for profit charity, our limited funds do not extend to expensive advertising, we will continue to use networking groups to share our services.
