1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We would like all our staff to become more aware of dementia, how it effects the individual living it and everyone else around them.  We believe this will help us when dealing with clients who may have dementia.

We have already run a seminar for some of our staff, we will also aim to have all staff view the DF video link.

We will also be supporting Dementia Friends Awareness week in May by holding a bake sale in our offices for other firms to visit, this will help to raise awareness.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Everyone has very high workloads which make finding time to support Dementia Friends hard but all staff are very supportive of this cause and will ensure they give time to it, no matter how little.
