1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Ensure staff are aware of and understand dementia so as to achieve a good customer ethos and be willing to respond to needs.

We aim to give our clients a service to enhance their esteem and feel good factor, by providing hair styling and beauty treatments.

This we aim to provide in an environment that is safe, friendly and comfortable.  Treatments are given by staff who are re-assuring and sympathetic to the difficulties encountered by those living with Dementia.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Changes of staff will always present a challenge.
