Dawns Vintage Do

Dawn Gracie is a born performer and has spent over ten years in the entertainments business. Developing her skills from rock to retro, Dawn has a particular skill which is hard to find. She loves interacting with an audience, be it a wedding party or a group of her Starlet Daze students, she is most at home when she can involve, encourage and entertain.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

As Vintage entertainer, part of my role is entertaining and singing at local residential care homes, to bring a smile to the residents face. The era of music is 50's and 60's which helps support people living with dementia

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

As a Dementia Champion, I now understand fully how to interact with someone living with dementia. This is incredibly rewarding, and doesn't have many challengeds
