1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We aim to provide a more inclusive service for those living with dementia and their carers by giving staff the knowledge to be able to understand dementia better. We can ensure our staff in all aspects of the business are trained to deliver first class service to those living with Dementia and accommodate their needs. We are happy to say that we have implemented Dementia Friends awareness raising on to our E learning portal.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Gaining staff understanding of the importance of the awareness training.
