1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

As a major high street Bank in a close knit community we can offer a personal approach to supporting our customers and their families through a challenging life event.  Throughout 2016, we can support our customers and local community by increasing understanding of Dementia by holding events for Customers and Groups within Barclays Bank.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Security and protection of customers regarding Data Protection, making families aware of what steps can be taken to allow them to support their families with their banking needs, whilst adhering to policies and banking rules.
