1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Our aim is for Springclean and all employees to become dementia friendly and be proud to be dementia aware.  This will build trust and confidence for all our customers when we are entering their homes, care homes and businesses that we are sensitive to customer and individuals needs and will act appropriately and with the right support.

We will work with our network of businesses to encourage them to become dementia friendly and aware.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The main challenge will be to open people’s minds to how Dementia affects society, the local community as they currently do not see how it can impact their business.

The next challenge will be the business’s finding/allowing time for training and following up ensuring the training becomes reality and people do what they say they are going to do.
