1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
The Rotherham South Area Assembly can help to keep dementia on the agenda and raise people’s awareness of the work being done by Rotherham Dementia Action Alliance (RDAA).
We can encourage community organisations and local businesses within our areas to get involved and become members of the RDAA.
We can include dementia in the work being done locally with the SYP – safer Neighbourhood teams recognising that the people living with dementia in our area may feel vulnerable.
We will encourage more dementia awareness in our area.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
It may initially be a challenge to get people to understand the concept of RDAA and consider what they can do to make a difference.
We will work with RDAA to provide information and inspiration
