1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Receiving the training has made us all aware oof the importance of this issue and helped us to understand and assist our guests with their individual needs.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

  • Keeping up to date with the training of new staff
  • Managing other customers if they have to be kept waiting
  • General customer awareness
  • Making people feel safe in an unfamiliar environment
