1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
To provide a safe, free, friendly space. To provide relevant information, signposting and help in accessing information. To provide access to core library services such as free audio books delivery and library groups. To continue to facilitate a shared reading group. To reach out to those with dementia and inform them about our services.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Possible challenges could be having adequate publicity and outreach especially with staffing levels.
