1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We offer first class care for residents who live with dementia with over one hundred care homes across the UK

  • Raise Awareness in the community of Dementia

    I will run dementia friends sessions in the home and to the community. I will also run Listen, Talk, Connect sessions which help peole understand how to communicate with people who live with dementia

    Along with James from Greenfields Community housing we made over 131 children dementia friends from St Andrews, Lyons Hall and Beckers Green primary schools in Halstead and Braintree

  • Dementia in the community

    To have more involvement in the community with regards to events being held in the home and also allowing the community to come to the home and use some of our tools at our disposal

    2016 - Second Quarter Update

    Dementia friends sessions held in the home, dementia awareness event held in the home with 28 attendees and eating as we age event, which covers dementia in the community which had 11 attendees

  • DAA Support

    To attend all the meetings and support the DAA any way possible as requested by the chair and other people in the alliance
