1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We aim though our involvement with RDAA to improve our knowledge of how to becoming more demententia freindly and increase the consideration we give to the the people with dementia and their families  We will commit to an involvement to the DAA faith subgroup .

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Looking at all the possibilies avaliable to us and ways to embed this knowlege .

Considering with the assistance of RDAA and the faith group how to take this valuable work forward .

Considering how to cascade this knowledge .

2. Actions

  • Gain Knowledge of Dementia Friendly Churches /Dementia Awareness

    Give consideration of how we can create dementia friendly with our church and how to gain and cascadedmentia knowledge

  • Worship

    We will look at how we can further provide and cater for the spiritual and sacramenetal needs of people with dementia and their families .

    Engaging with Care home and using RDAA to help connect us to the people of rotherham with dementia   

  • Involvement with The DAA faith subgroup

    We commit to an involvement witht he DAA faith subgroup to gain knowledge and inspiration and cascade our good practices

  • Educational Involvement of Catholic schools

    We will consider how to involve the Catholic schools in creating a dementia Friendly next generation
