1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Music and theatre play an important part in engaging with people living with dementia. They can assist in maintaining peoples independence and reduce social isolation.

The staff and volunteers at the Prince of Wales can play a part in enabling people with dementia to have a fulfilling lifestyle by creating a supportive environment.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The Prince of Wales is a receiving venue so there will be a challenge ensuring visiting companies meet our aims and ideals. There may well be certain logistical problems with the layout of the building to overcome.

2. Actions
