1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
The organisers of Chislehurst Dementia cafe would like to see more people educated about dementia and the challenges both for those with dementia and their carers. As such we are aiming to make Chislehurst a dementia friendly village. The organiser, Judith West ,is a dementia champion. As a first step she aims to give dementia friendly talks to retailers and others in Chislehurst High Street. She has begun with the Chislehurst Medical Practice.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Time is the main issue.
