1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We can support our customers and staff to be more aware of dementia through our training modules

We can also become involved in fundraising and by attending and supporting local charity events.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We are at a basic level making our pharmacies physically more dementia friendly is a challenge but having our staff aware and trained will help. Sharing best practice and learning what other groups and organisation do can only help us with our mission and as a company double the staff members that are dementia friends and establish a network of dementia champion.
