1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We are committed to ensuring all staff undertake dementia awareness training so we have a greater understanding of the challenges those living with dementia and their carers. We ensure customer facing staff have accessible dementia information to better equip the service we provide to people living with dementia in the local community. We are committed to supporting the LDAA where we can and ensuring staff learn more about caring for someone with dementia.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Time constraints means it will be difficult for the staff to attend a Dementia Friends session.
