1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Taking more time with people and family members affected by dementia. Recognising that those affected by dementia require longer to process information

  • Dementia Awareness raising for staff

    Ensure all staff attend a dementia awareness raising session

  • Review environment of premises

      to identify possible issues for people living with dementia. Make changes which are feasible and ensure staff awareness of those which are not so they are able to help visitors within the premises.

    Highlighting quiet times that people affected by dementia may feel more comfortable shopping in.
