1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Offering a personal service, helping to find required items of clothing and providing large changing area to enable us to assist with trying clothes on, if required.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Initially recognising a customer has dementia, if not initially obvious.

  • Dementia Awareness raising for staff

     Ensure all staff attend a dementia awareness raising session

  • Review environment of premises

     Understanding the challenges a customer may have within our premises.  Making changes that are possible and being able to support where changes aren’t possible.
