1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We have to consider individual practical needs and offer information about areas and local available facilities. 

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

To recognise additional needs above and beyond those of the average purchaser

2. Actions

  • Dementia Awareness raising for staff

     Ensure all customer facing staff are dementia aware

  • Communication

    Listening and being aware of our own use of language and body language and that of the client / applicant

  • Environment

     Develop tactics to overcome any barriers within the office eg lighting issues and possible confusion caused by over busy displays
