The Binfield Club (Bracknell)

At the Binfield Club we help the local community with a lunch club, a Bingo evening, Quiz evenings, Craft club, Art club and just a place where members can come in for a chat.

1. Action Plan

Club staff have always helped with what things cost and generally assist members who require more time. We are a safe place to be looked after. Helping with their needs in every way and making sure they are safe whilst they enjoy our activities.

  • Liz Tibble to become a Dementia Friend and possibly a Champion

    To attend a local Dementia Friends information session.

  • All staff to be made aware of Dementia and to have the opportunity to become a Dementia Friend

    Inform all staff and new staff about the Dementia Friends programme and how to become a Friend at a local session or on-line. Give all staff the 'Customer facing staff' booklet to read.

  • Give more time to customers with Dementia

    When staff are aware that a customer/member has dementia (or potentially), we will endeavour to give them more time and help them with their choices. For example with their money or choosing items from the menu. Will will also arange transport for them if necessary and call taxis etc.

  • Support the Bracknell Forest DAA

    Attend steering group meetings. Advertise local Dementia events and services at the club.
