1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We will act on the recommendations of the recent Faithworks Wessex audit to adopt changes to the building to present a more dementia-friendly environment, as well as a welcoming approach.

We are planning to provide a dementia-friendly church service in liason with other local churches.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We are a listed historic building, but we benefit from the full commitment of our clergy and church council to modifying the building as far as allowed.
