1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To help our customers to have an enjoyable and positive experience in our shop.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We have lots of time for all our customers so cannot forsee any problems.

    Encourage all staff to watch the Dementia Friend film at www.dementiafriends.org.uk or attend a face to face Dementia Friends session or alternative dementia awareness course.

    Provide staff with access to the Alzheimer's Society Customer Facing Staff Guide.

  • Understand how to make customer environment more dementia friendly and consider simple changes that could be made

    Carry out an environmental audit using the audit tool and where possible make reasonable adjustments to support people with dementia.
