1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
Meeting people's needs and adjusting environment accordingly. Specific awareness of associated behaviours of the diseases and impact they can have.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Staffing - training and awareness - 90% of trading time is myself and one other support
Alert Bell to be changed to ring at back of shop as opposed to at the front as potentially frightening for customer
Look at environment to make it less cluttered with more floor space / change to bright mat at entrance
