1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The majority of students work in local communities or hospitals on a daily basis and are able to build relationships with those living with dementia. With dementia awareness training included in their courses they will be better placed to support patients livings with dementia, their carers and families. This will enable us to support the seven outcomes which the DAA is seeking to achieve and help those affected by demenita to live well.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The challenges to address include delivering the Dementia Friends talk to all employees and training tutors to deliver the Dementia Friends talk.
