1. Action Plan
We provide goods and services to people with dementia that support them in their daily living and enable them to stay at home and in their community, enjoying the best quality of life for longer
Improving staff awareness and understanding of dementia, thereby having a good customer service ethos and training for our staff.
By enabling people living with dementia to be part of the community and continue to do daily and social activities.
Have a willingness to respond to the individual’s needs and help/support them when we can and it is reasonable for us to do so.
Training and awareness raising for all staff
To run 'Dementia Friends' sessions as a part of our induction training programme for new Care Workers.
For all our staff to complete our e-learning Dmeentia course which is endorsed by Highfield awarding body.
Improving our facilities by making them more dementia-friendly
Encourage our bank to accept DD payments so customers with dementia do not have to deal with invoices and remember to write and post cheques etc.
To promote both the Local Alliances and Dementia Friends projects within the Bluebird Care network and through other networking in the Wimborne area.
