AEON is a chartered practice of independent financial advisers offering bespoke personal and business financial advice. Being independent allows us to tailor our advice to needs of the client using any product or provider from the whole of the market. We provide independent advice on all aspects of your finances including pensions and retirement planning, savings and investments, estate and inheritance tax planning. Our first initial consultation is at our expense, going forward we work on a fee based model, with costs agreed in advance. Typically we work with clients on a going basis, to ensure that recommendations and advice continue to be appropriate now and in the future to suit your changing circumstances, and changes in legislation and tax. Clients are able to take control of their finances and make informed decisions to achieve the financial outcomes they desire. We provide our clients with peace of mind and a helping hand to understand what can be a complicated and confusing area to understand.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

As a chartered organisation, AEON adheres to a respected code of ethics and standards.

At AEON we take the time to listen and understand the needs of our clients and spend the time with clients so that they understand what is important to them now and in the future.

It is important to us that our clients receive advice.  We are happy and encourage family members and carers to be involved in meetings so that can help to support and explain matters to people with dementia.  This also provides the family with peace of mind as they have been involved in the decision making process and fully understand the actions being taken.

We provide clients we on-going advice and service so that our clients are constantly supported along their financial journey.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

People should not fear financial advice, using a chartered practice provides clients with peace of mind due to the code of ethics and standards all chartered firms adhere to.

Individuals often prefer to keep financial matters private from friends and family, yet people with dementia need to trust family members and carers people so that they can help them make decisions.  Using a chartered financial adviser helps individuals with dementia have peace of mind knowing that their finances are professionally managed and safe.
