British Red Cross, Hampshire & IOW
Our organisation will deliver better outcomes by having staff and volunteers with knowledge, empathy and understanding of the lived experience of people with dementia. Through this we will be able to build positive relationships with people who have dementia and make a confident contribution to improving outcomes and well-being.

1. Action Plan
The challenges we face are:
> Geographical: We cover the whole of Hampshire (Isle of Wight and Surrey also) so it is difficult to have training at times and locations that are accessible/convenient for all staff and volunteers.
> Scale we have around 600 volunteers and 50 staff in Hampshire working in different services, different locations and on different time scales. Therefore again this makes it difficult to train people and also difficult to check whether all have received communications we dispatch.
> Some of our services only offer one-off support
