1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We’re really keen that every Asda store plays an active role in the life of their local community. From raising money for local charities to volunteering, our colleagues take their responsibilities towards their local communities very seriously.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Raising staff awareness of dementia

Creating the right environment that is suitable for people with dementia

Knowing the community we are targeting and tailoring the marketing appropriately

Sharing best practice, key learning areas and challenges encountered
