1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

1. To ensure that all team members receive Dementia Friends awareness training

2. To ebale the Romford Town "pop-up shop" to become a dementia friendly establishment where any vulnerable adult can attend to access Safeguarding services and advice

3. To compile a list of vulnerable adults who regularly come to the notice of the Police, ensuring that contact numbers, adresses and Next of Kin details are kept up to date to enable the safe return of the subject to their appropriate care facility or address, and to update Social Services with the type of POLice intervention

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The intial challenge is the lack of understanding of Dementia by our members. Part 1 of our Action Plan will address these challenges
