1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We aree looking to increase staff awareness, increase diagnosis and access to services for patients with dementia. We are also looking to improve access to our practice.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
- Cost of improving building infrastructure, systems and signage.
- Time for training staff
- Reluctance of patients to engage with dementia screening.
- Fall off of staff engagement with the action plan after time.
