1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To be able to recognise dementia and know how to assist people with dementia.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

This is an area outside of our normal business.

2. Actions

  • Raise staff awareness

Will raise awareness of dementia by distributing the FDAA booklet; "How to help customers with dementia" to all our staff.

  • Public support

Will publicly declare our support for dementia friendly society by displaying the Falmouth DAA logo prominently.

  • Promotion of DAA

Will promote the movement. We promoted Falmouth DAA on our 1200 km bike ride from Bergen to Amsterdam, March 2015.
