1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
Our aim is to raise the awareness around dementia not just within our branch but our community, ensuring we provide the correct, friendly and supportive service to all that come into our branch. We want to make sure that everything is done in the right way, as well as protecting our customers that may have dementia when they see the team.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Raising awareness in branch as well as what to do when a situation arises, along with making sure our message is clear across our community. Consider what actions we can take for vulnerable Customers that do not have a Power Of Attorney or Court Of Protection in place.
