1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

At Romford Nursing Care Centre we want to empower our residents living with dementia and those family members affected by it, to receive the best care available which meets individual needs. To become a centre of excellence for dementia care, to be innovative in the way we think and deliver high quality dementia care. To become part of a Dementia Friendly Community.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

As an improving care home it will be difficult to know which aspect of dementia care to focus on first.
