1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Improving customer service through increasing staff awareness and understanding of dementia.

By enabling people living with dementia to be part of the community and continue to do daily and social activities.

Responding to the individual’s needs and offering support.

  • Dementia awareness raising for all staff

    5 Partners attended training session in October 2014.

  • Improve access and signage in our facilities

    Partners provide one to one personal shopping.

    Being implemented
  • Identify dementia friendly ways of working by offering alternatives to people living with dementia

    Partners will never hurry a customer, when shopping or paying and will help them with any trouble they would like assistance with, physical or otherwise.
