Exeter Dementia Action Alliance (EDAA)

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Through our music we help people living with Dementia to relive their musical memories.

Our work has included nominating the Exeter Alliance for the Liverty Charity of the Year award and offer donation to the Alliance in return for a public talk.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

One challenge that we have identified is arranging suitable slots for sessions

  • Visit Groups in the Community

    When we joined the Exeter Alliance we planned to contact residential homes and arrange visits and provide musical services for people living with Dementia to help them relive musical memories.
