YMCA Winchester

We provide a drop in space, training and outreach for children aged 11-18. We also have a community café which functions to provide a safe and friendly space for people to come.

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

At the YMCA we provide a safe and friendly space in which people will be cared for and listened to by our team.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Challenges would include lack of awareness of the disease
